About this Event
Bard on the Bay returns in 2025 with one of Shakespeare’s most daring plays—The Winter’s Tale. Part fairy tale, part psychological drama, this story hurtles from icy betrayal to sun-soaked joy.
When King Leontes falsely accuses his queen of infidelity, he shatters his family and his kingdom. Sixteen years later, a shepherd’s daughter embarks on a journey that could heal it all.
Expect mistaken identities, royal revelations, wild reunions—and that legendary stage direction:
“Exit, pursued by a bear.”
Performed outdoors at the stunning Shipyards Amphitheatre, this genre-defying production blends tragedy, comedy, and sheer theatrical magic.
